Fukiya (Blowgun) Training II

The kaginawa (aka hook and rope) of the shinobi is known to have been used in crossing moats and upon ramparts of castles. Taking this concept, I began to experiment with the capabilities of the body while hanging from a kaginawa crossing line. It was a matter of time before I began experimenting with shooting various weapons while hanging from the rope. I find the blowgun to be a very interesting weapon… not because of the intrinisc potential for damage that its high velocity darts can deal out, but because the blowgun was historically used by ancient tribes in conjunction with a poison that could drop animals.

Known poisons associated with blowguns include:

Curare

Acokanthera

Antiaris
